I am about to buy this dac. Have you somewhere a photo of your config ? Have you got a box from Audiophonics ? I heard they will sell soon specific box for this and a 7" display.

Best regards

Mat

I have received my kit this week. Be prepared, there are no instruction what so ever! Support is pretty bad, or none existent! The kit is not complete too! You need few flat ribbon cables or single wires to connect your power button (which still does not work for me!) and OLED screen. These are not included. But you have few bits which you dont need as they change design but not the accessories in packaging?!

I have tried make the power button work but no good

Could it be a problem of voltage regulator ? The board needs 6V according to the audio phonics site

I was trying 5V 3.4A PSU and than I have 7.5V
Unfortunately I do not have any 6V PSU

Hi Mat,

Here are a few pictures of the DAC with the simplest box from audiophonics: solid aluminum, no screen, no hdmi output (~25 €), with a power button (~5 €). The box is slightly oversized with respect to the RPI+DAC but I'm nonetheless very happy with it.

Note that i am using the power supply (6V 2A with 2.1/5.5 jack) and the power button suggested by audiophonics: power management is working fine for me with this setup.

Regards,

Lionel
