Tried it. Love it.

High Fidelity Music Streaming (1411 FLAC)

It can be played via AirPlay streaming, but seems like a good candidate for integration... :)

Looks nice indeed. Nice music, but very new I guess? Dead links and stuff. Is there some sort of API to interface with it?

So new, it is launch -5 days. :)
Already looks very polished. Audio quality is comparable looking great, as far as streaming goes.
What hifi? gave it 5 stars in December review and I see some things, like gapless playing, have been improved. It now has adjustabable crossfade option. http://www.whathifi.com/tidal/review
Wouldn't know about API though.

API is one big issue.
Integration (make is look good and easy to use in RuneUI) is another.

Good luck implementing those.

Well... I am not a coder, thinking about this from user/marketing perspective.
My thinking is that Tidal seems new, good and having Rune Audio listed on their list of certified devices...
http://tidal.com/si/download?utm_source ... st%20sound
... That could boost our ranks. And maybe they would be eager to have as many devices as possible listed and be willing to share API we need.

You're quite right, that would be nice. But it doesn't make it easy. (I remember my coding days only enough to know that it will be a big task for a small volunteer team).

TIDAL already knows about RuneAudio. I contacted them via their facebook page and they replied to me "Hi Tuomas. Thank you for sharing this. We will share it directly to our Partner Team. Best, TIDAL.". I guess that one of the biggest questions would be that how many would subscribe to TIDAL if it worked on Rune.

Hm. Aren't we trying to be less marginal? Because in the mean time Simple Audio Roomplayer is integrated with Tidal and also has a working multiroom solution. And integrated Class D amplifier. All for sweet £499.00. Meh... :/

"How can I remote control TIDAL on Simple Audio?
You can use your iOS-deivce or Mac/Windows based unit with the Simple Audio app installed to enjoy your favorite music. Enter App Store and search for Simple Audio, once its installed, you have access TIDALs library with millions of albums."

just use Bubble uPnP app from play store which allows you to send Tidal streams into RuneAudio ;)
