Hi,
I'm coming from testing raspfi and now I'm trying volumio on UDOO.
I'm very interested in runeaudio on UDOO-quad and hope there will be less problems/open questions than with volumio today.
Volumio announced SPDIF on UDOO but this feature seams not to be implemented yet.
When the UDOO-image will be available and what's about runeaudio and SPDIF?

Hi,

I am also testing volumio on Udoo and Beaglebone Black and curious about your experiences. Currently I have a working BBB where the output is via the HDMI. I do not have a USB DAC at the moment and cannot try out RuneAudio until either I buy some more equipment or a RuneAudio release that enables the hdmi output.

My experiences are:

BBB
hard to configure the NAS - had to do manually
had to figure out how to stop the HDMI from going to sleep but this was relatively straightforward.
seems to be stable

Udoo
easy to configure the NAS
could not figure out how to stop the HDMI output after 10 minutes. Still trying to solve this
volume from speaker output was much less than the HDMI and other inputs into my amplifier - my son tried to blow up the speakers when he switched inputs.

My linux experience in non-existent but I have some unix/solaris experience from many year ago.
