Hi NOOBIE question. Ive never added a radio station on RuneAudio. I want to add http://www.laurelcanyonradio.com/
I’ve tried adding this, but it doesn’t work. What should I be adding. Is there a different url for streaming?

Hi MACKE,

Yes there are different URL’s for the radio streams.
Commercial radio stations tend make it difficult to find their stream URL because they prefer you to use their website or App which they use for advertising and merchandising.
However, there are several good webradio URL lists on internet, a couple of examples are given in this thread: post26725.html
Sometimes you can find the stream URL in the radio station website by using the technique described here: post26443.html

To add to janui's response, most major broadcasters hide their stream URLs.

Fortunately, you're lucky as Laurel Canyon Radio don't - go into Rune's Web Radio section, add a station - here is the URL:

http://s10.voscast.com:7858

Enjoy and let us know how you get on.

Thanks, good to know! I was sort of lost with that, I felt like I was technologically impaired when I found out I couldn't find the "big guys"'s stream links. Time to add a bunch of stations!

So I have a subscription to SiriusXM; actually have an older PolkXM home tuner as well as the radios in my and my wife's car (3 tuner contract). My wife would like to play the Jazz Christmas feed over the home stereo which is streaming only until a few days before Christmas which will then also be "broadcast" by the satellite feed.

As some my know, XM has more internet streaming stations than satellite feeds. I have added streaming to my XM account, but would like to add the URL feed to Rune Audio. The worst case is I just patch cable the computer into the stereo, but Rune would be so much better. The Control - C trick pulled up a lot of detail, but the XM stream looked like it might be coming thru Java or Adobe or something. Nothing remotely looked like an MU3 or MP3 feed.

Thanks.
