Radio station lists

Just found two good resources for radio streaming urls.

For UK commercial stations: http://media-ice.musicradio.com/

For world wide stations: http://www.radiosure.com/stations/

In the first instance you can use the M3U stream address and delete the .M3U off it. Most seem to be 16bit 44 kHz feeds although there are some 24 bit ones.

For the second list you need click through to the station details and then see if the feed link is usable. Some need .M3U taking off as above, others work as they are.

Hi ianhaynes,

thank you for the links.

Have you ever tried Dirble?
Dirble has listed most of them.
By using Dirble there is no need to tweak URLs or extract them from playlists.

Yes I have tried Dirble but the UK stations aren't there and lots in the other list aren't there either.

There are so many that no directory is going to cover everything.

Hi,

Here is a small trick to find the url of a radio station not in the database.
Go to the webpage playing the radiostream with Chrome and display the source code of the page (Ctrl+U) and search (Ctrl+F) for a ".mp3" in the code. Usually there is at least one url (if two or more, check the bit rate of each).

Best,
Yann

Thank you so much for this, Ian. Finally managed to add web stations manually.
