Hifiberry DAC +- Pro has header on P3?

I just installed the Hifiberry Dac +- pro on to my Pi3, I noticed I have a 2 pin header on the board at P3, all the videos and pics I see online don't have this, I'm assuming this is recently added to the DAC? Is this for separate power supply connectivity? And if so do I still need to De-solder the resistor to accomplish this?

One more question, can anyone recommend a HAT or add on that will allow S-jack style headphones to be used and still get the sound throughput from the Dac?

Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you

Larry

Hi dirtylarry,
See here: https://www.hifiberry.com/build/documen ... er-supply/ and here: https://www.hifiberry.com/build/documen ... -i2s-dacs/ These documents are really difficult to find, the search engines seem to miss them. There are issues with an UART conflict on the Pi 3B, you need to disable the on-board Bluetooth, see here: post21171.html?hilit=uart%20hifiberry#p21171
