Hi All,

Brand new to this whole thing... I have a RPi 3B and plan to get a HiFiBerry Digi+ Pro connected via coax to an Emotiva TA-100. I haven't set anything up yet. I just want to know what I might need to do with my music files before proceeding.

I've got a USB hard drive attached to my Mac that contains all my music files. It is formatted as Mac OS Extended. Will this format work on my proposed Rune Audio setup connected to the RPi 3B? Or will I need to get another drive and use a different format?

If I need to use a different format, what of these formats will work? I only see these formats as options on my Mac.

APFS
Mac OS Extended
MS-DOS (Fat)
ExFAT

OK, no need to reply. I found the answer by doing a little digging. I found out Mac OS Extended is synonymous to HFS+, which is one of the formats readable by the RPi.
