I found an interesting effect. When naming a folder in Cyrillic, the first word of the name is not displayed in the library.
If the name contains only one word, the name of the parent folder is displayed.
I found a way out - I wrote a Russian word of three letters before each name. It is not displayed, and the folder names are visible.

Sometimes, when RPI is enabled, the connection to the NAS disappears.
I have to re-type the address.

I removed everything unnecessary from the /fstab file (there were a lot of repeated connections and a bunch of some icons before the first line).
So far, everything is working fine.

Just a quick update on a recent update to e6 on my rp2B. I'm connected via ethernet.

I was running e5 on my main Rune system but did have e6 on another system and liked it.

  • I backed up e5 to my local pc
  • created a e6 instance on a new uSD card.
  • Booted to verify e6 is working.
  • Set my I2S DAC and played a default web radio to verify audio is working
  • restored from my e5 backup (this restored my webradio stations, MPD, and I think restored my NAS mounts)
  • did the update on settings->Addons
  • rebuilt my library

Seemed to work great. I wasn't sure if I could restore a e5 backup to e6 but it seemed to work after i rebuilt the library.

Thanks Rern for the great bit of kit.

I might have spoke too soon.

My Artist icon doesn't show the Artist albums.

I can add or replace the the selected artist and it does add all the albums for the artist I select. I just can't pick an album.

I did check /srv/http/data/mpd/artist and it is in the format
index^^artist

i'm assuming this is correct or should it include the album too?
the album looks correct.

here is an example:
# grep Cure /srv/http/data/mpd/artist
C^^Cure
C^^The Cure

# grep Cure /srv/http/data/mpd/album
B^^Boys Don't Cry^^The Cure^^NAS/Music/The Cure/Boys don't Cry
H^^The Head On The Door 2/2^^The Cure^^NAS/Music/The Cure/The Head On The Door 22
H^^The Head On The Door [Remastered 2006]^^The Cure^^NAS/Music/The Cure/The Head On The Door [Remastered 2006]
K^^Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me^^Cure^^NAS/Music/The Cure/Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me
S^^Standing on the Beach^^The Cure^^NAS/Music/The Cure/Standing on a Beach
T^^Three Imaginary Boys^^The Cure^^NAS/Music/The Cure/Boys don't Cry

# grep Cure /srv/http/data/mpd/albumbyartist
C^^The Cure^^Boys Don't Cry^^NAS/Music/The Cure/Boys don't Cry
C^^The Cure^^The Head On The Door 2/2^^NAS/Music/The Cure/The Head On The Door 22
C^^The Cure^^The Head On The Door [Remastered 2006]^^NAS/Music/The Cure/The Head On The Door [Remastered 2006]
C^^Cure^^Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me^^NAS/Music/The Cure/Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me
C^^The Cure^^Standing on the Beach^^NAS/Music/The Cure/Standing on a Beach
C^^The Cure^^Three Imaginary Boys^^NAS/Music/The Cure/Boys don't Cry

BTW, mpc seems to spit out the right stuff
# mpc ls NAS/Music/The\ Cure/Standing\ on\ a\ Beach
NAS/Music/The Cure/Standing on a Beach/1-3 Jumping Someone Else's Train.flac
NAS/Music/The Cure/Standing on a Beach/1-4 A Forest.flac
NAS/Music/The Cure/Standing on a Beach/1-5 Primary.flac
NAS/Music/The Cure/Standing on a Beach/1-6 Charlotte Sometimes.flac
NAS/Music/The Cure/Standing on a Beach/1-7 The Hanging Garden.flac
NAS/Music/The Cure/Standing on a Beach/2-1 Let's Go to Bed.flac
NAS/Music/The Cure/Standing on a Beach/2-2 The Walk.flac
NAS/Music/The Cure/Standing on a Beach/2-3 The Love Cats.flac
NAS/Music/The Cure/Standing on a Beach/2-4 The Caterpillar.flac
NAS/Music/The Cure/Standing on a Beach/2-5 In Between Days.flac
NAS/Music/The Cure/Standing on a Beach/2-6 Close to Me.flac

this might be from the e5 restore but I'm open to suggestions. Or how to remove the mpd and reindex.

rm /srv/http/data/mpd/mpd.db?

Question, when I select an artist, should I be able to see the related albums?

Thanks!

is it possible to update the restore feature to enable a check box (or something) to only restore the web radios?

I should look at the code but not really sure where to start. i did see rune uses sqlite (from the Credits page). and sqlite3 will bring up the CLI.

The saved playlist can't be played in its entirety, it only plays one track at a time. What should I change in the settings?

The latest update broke the ability to send the audio over HDMI, The only device that is selected is the headphone, but the HDMI is active and the desktop is shown on the screen.

This is on a Raspberry PI 3 which has been working great, until the update this morning.

Please let me know what info you need me to grab.

Hello. I am trying to put a 3.5 display, what should it show on it?
I have a pink box and an arrow pointer and nothing else.
USB touchscreen display supported?

Is it possible to purchase a DSI display at a low cost, is this display supported by the system?
