@rern,

The missing cover art problem is definitely to do with the interface naming, and I think I have found a fix.

If I disable "predictable network interface names" by adding net.ifnames=0 to the cmndline.txt file in /boot, the dongle is mounted to wlan0, and cover art is displayed.

This does not explain why e4 works, but it looks good so far.

e5 seems to be working fine running latest updates (as of yesterday's installable update) for streaming spotify and airplay, and I can reach settings if i manually type the URLs in teh browser, but via the browser going to "runeaudio.local" all I get is this. I can't seem to get the regular display to browse my library, etc.

Try this: on the URL add /addons.php and refresh.....that should get you to the Addons page. I believe there should be another Update for you to pull that fixed this similar issue for me.....give that a try, cant hurt

I'm already on the latest version, hopefully, this gets sorted soon because it's unusable for me now.

New sort of UI issue....last night I had the Original 4 radios @rern provides plus 7 or 8 of ones that I had imported. been that way for a few days.

before shutting down, I noticed the "Count" on the Webradio icon was way off, no biggie. I decided to remove 2 of the stations rern provides, and all seemed perfectly fine....Now today, I have absolutely NO webradio stations in the UI but they are in the /srv/http/data/webradio directory so not sure whats up...trying a full rebuild of db to see if they come back :) ........nope didnt come back

Hi,

I just tried Volumio and Moode Audio

Volumio is slow and not very ergonomic, and you have to pay to get some features :evil:

Moode Audio have very good features :
- smartphone bluetooth connection, so you can listen a podcast from your smartphone in the HiFi system connected to the Raspberry Pi :D
- browse internet radios with logos, you can change it with any picture
- a lot of built-in internet radios
- browse library with tag, like the Winamp media library (genre / artist / album / song lists)

Moode Audio startup and web connection is quite slow...

I wonder if Rune Audio e5 have the same or not ?
I try the original version (official frome 2016) of Rune Audio and I find it faster and more ergonomic.
I will try Rune Audio e5 ; if it will have same features than Moode Audio it will be perfect.

Bye

@rern

PI Zero W RA+Re5 (updated to 20200827)

Something is changing the file /etc/resolv.conf, I don't know what it is but it appears to be either at a reboot or overnight. This PI has been running for a couple of days without any problem then this morning I tried to listen to a web radio and nothing happened. As soon as I clicked the play button (top bar) it revered to the stop button. I have been having problems with this PI not finding its domain server (see network-name-resolution-t7101.html) and as well as using a modified /etc/nsswitch.conf file I also updated /etc/resolvconf.conf to be:

# Configuration for resolvconf(8)
# See resolvconf.conf(5) for details

resolv_conf=/etc/resolv.conf
# If you run a local name server, you should uncomment the below line and
# configure your subscribers configuration files below.
#name_servers=127.0.0.1
name_servers=192.168.86.10

I then used resolvconf -u

to update the /etc/resolv.conf file as suggested by the Arch-Linux docs which gave me /etc/resolv.conf set to:

# Generated by resolvconf
domain lan
nameserver 192.168.86.10
nameserver 192.168.86.1

This morning however (after NO changes by me at all), /etc/resolv.conf was set to:

# This file is managed by man:systemd-resolved(8). Do not edit.
#
# This is a dynamic resolv.conf file for connecting local clients directly to
# all known uplink DNS servers. This file lists all configured search domains.
#
# Third party programs should typically not access this file directly, but only
# through the symlink at /etc/resolv.conf. To manage man:resolv.conf(5) in a
# different way, replace this symlink by a static file or a different symlink.
#
# See man:systemd-resolved.service(8) for details about the supported modes of
# operation for /etc/resolv.conf.

nameserver 1.1.1.1
nameserver 9.9.9.10
nameserver 8.8.8.8
# Too many DNS servers configured, the following entries may be ignored.
nameserver 2606:4700:4700::1111
nameserver 2620:fe::10
nameserver 2001:4860:4860::8888

# Configuration for resolvconf(8)
# See resolvconf.conf(5) for details

Hence the PI knew nothing about my DNS server and I DO NOT use IP6 addresses at all on my network, it takes me all my time to understand IP4 let alone a move to IP6 :-)

What could be causing this to happen and how do I stop it happening ? Are there any log files anywhere that might help explain what is going on ? If not perhaps this might be a useful addition in future to debug this and other issues ?

Regards.

Hi,

I just install RuneAudio e5 and update it.

I can connect to it via my local network, but I've got two big issues :

1) I cannot select my HifiBerry DAC+ Pro as output device

Code: Select all
RuneAudio  e5 20200827 • RuneAudio
Hardware Raspberry Pi 3 Model B Rev 1.2
SoC BCM2835 • 4 Cortex-A53 @ 1.2GHz • 1GB
Output Device On-board - Headphone
Kernel 5.4.51-2-ARCH

I don't see where I can set my HifiBerry DAC as output.

2) I cannot view MP3 files on my two usb keys

I see my two usb devices in SOURCE > DEVICES but there is a red dot after each.
Remount option has no effect.
I wonder if Rune Audio is not able to read my USB keys (128Go each, ExFAT format)
Please notice that my two USB Keys works perfectly with Moode Audio and Volumio.

So I can't do anything with this e5 version.

Bests regards.

electroremy

Have you selected your DAC on the System > i2S Module setting? Choosing the correct module here should, probably after a reboot, feed the DAC setting through to the MPD page where you can select your output device.

Sorry can't help with you USB issue as I don't use them with RA however it would be relatively easy to setup a new USB flash drive, format it to a Linux file system (ext4 ?) , copy a few music files to it and then mount it on you RA device and see if you can then update your library.
