I found an annoying feature: when adding a folder in which a file other than * .flaс ( music.wv and music.cue - for example), the file itself and its track-by-track split are added to the playlist. Is this a bug or a feature?

Thanks for confirming. If it's not fixed in a couple of days, it might be worth registering a bug here:

https://radioparadise.com/community/forum/topic/2705

There might not be many other players which are affected.

Ignore the above, I have just tried the 20201004 version of Rune, and it works OK.

@rern

Please can you have a look at this?

@R101

The clipart problem seems to be specific to the Radio Paradise Main Mix FLAC stream as well as the World Mix stream. The Mellow Mix and Rock streams' clipart seem to be in sync. Can you confirm?

As far as other players are concerned, the problem does not affect the Radio Paradise IOS app nor does it appear in Volumio.

Yes, rawdevice, you are right. Main and World show the next cover on the playlist. Mellow and Rock are OK. The aac feed for Main is also wrong.

All feeds work OK on the earlier version of e5, though, so it looks as if there is a "now and next" feature on these feeds, and Rune is looking at the wrong one for the cover art. Hopefully rern will be able to sort it out. It's all magic to me.

@R101, @rawdevice,

In stead of Last.fm which webradios get coverarts from, Radio Paradise gets coverarts directly from its own status URL:
https://api.radioparadise.com/api/now_playing?chan=N
Where N:
0 = Main Mix
1 = Mellow Mix
2 = Rock Mix
3 = World Mix

These flac streams are still experimental. Sometime the data URL is not in sync with music streams. Getting from Last.fm is more stable but would have missed some coverarts.

It's a bug, obviously. By the way you put it, is it a bug or a feature of your attitude?

At the moment, after the latest update, when adding an album (.cue) in playlist, it creates two more copies of the tracks from album.

Thanks for the explanation, rern.

Did the earlier e5 version use Last.FM? That would explain why it still works, but often did not find the cover art.

The aac PR streams have the same problem, so should we report a bug to them or do you have contacts there?

Hi R101, Rern,

I reported the sync issue on the Radio Paradise forum and got a response back: "Appreciate the heads up.
Everything should be back in sync now."

Fixed.

(from another thread)
LittlePapaJohn wrote:I really like the way RuneAudio is set-up. It worked almost out of the box except for playlists on MPD clients.
I tried Ymuse to create playlists and I get an error message 'Stored playlists are disabled'. If I go to RuneAudio on either my desktop via the browser or on android I'm able to save playlist and to find them again.
Those playlists are however not showing in clients like MPDroid or Ymuse and if I run a script on Home assistant it gives me the same error message.
I cannot find any solutions in the forum on this issue.
Any other information you need from me to look into this issue or provide guidance on how to solve this.

Hardware: Raspberry Pi 3 Model B Plus Rev 1.3
Audio output: headphone
RuneAudio: e5 20200927

Try: Addons > Import Playlists

By the way, playlists can be created and edited right on R+R e5:
    - Rename
    - Add a track to a saved playlist at a selectable position
    - Remove tracks
    - Drag to rearrange order
    - Save *.cue as individual tracks
    - Save Webradio station names

PR certainly responded very quickly, and I am surprised ours were the only two reports. There obviously aren't many people using players as advanced as RuneAudio.

Thanks again to rern for including this enhancement in the image.
