yup have this also.

@R101 @RolandBlaze
To assist rern in identifying the problem, please post your playback settings.
Here a mine (both volume control and coverart are present (plus time):
Checked are: "Time", "WebRadio elapsed", "Cover art", "Volume"

Please tell what would be the layout you try to set.

Hi.

i've just download and install a fresh copy of RA+Re4

When I switch on the UPnP feature, it fallback to off.

there are some details :

Code: Select all
● upmpdcli.service - UPnP Renderer front-end to MPD
Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/upmpdcli.service; enabled; vendor preset: disabled)
    Drop-In: /etc/systemd/system/upmpdcli.service.d
             └─override.conf
     Active: activating (auto-restart) (Result: exit-code) since Tue 2020-07-28 18:00:43 CEST; 25s ago
    Process: 3159 ExecStart=/usr/bin/upmpdcli -c /etc/upmpdcli.conf (code=exited, status=127)
   Main PID: 3159 (code=exited, status=127)

If I try to exec in SSH :
Code: Select all
root@runeaudio+R e4:~ # /usr/bin/upmpdcli -c /etc/upmpdcli.conf
/usr/bin/upmpdcli: error while loading shared libraries: libjsoncpp.so.22: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I have installed jsoncpp but without no changes

I think the upmpdcli don't search the good lib :
Code: Select all
root@runeaudio+R e4:~ # ldd /usr/bin/upmpdcli | grep json
        libjsoncpp.so.22 => not found

Code: Select all
ls -alh /usr/lib/libjsoncpp.so*
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root   16 Jul 19 21:22 /usr/lib/libjsoncpp.so -> libjsoncpp.so.24
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 178K Jul 19 21:22 /usr/lib/libjsoncpp.so.24

Okay, well, trying to symlink...
Code: Select all
cd /usr/lib/
ln -s libjsoncpp.so libjsoncpp.so.22

and restarting...

Good job !
Code: Select all
upmpdcli.service - UPnP Renderer front-end to MPD
Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/upmpdcli.service; enabled; vendor preset: disabled)
    Drop-In: /etc/systemd/system/upmpdcli.service.d
             └─override.conf
Active: active (running) since Tue 2020-07-28 18:10:37 CEST; 52s ago
   Main PID: 5287 (upmpdcli)
      Tasks: 10 (limit: 2140)
     CGroup: /system.slice/upmpdcli.service
             └─5287 /usr/bin/upmpdcli -c /etc/upmpdcli.conf

Maybe other people will have this bug ?

Update Re4 20200728

The problem with thumnails in the coverart view is still present.

The thumbnails in the coverart library view are missing. The entries are present and it's also possible to click on an invisible coverart to select an album.

Edit: After some clicking back and forth the thumbnails are back again.

Edit 2: Some clicks later the thumbnails are gone again, ..., and come back again.

An Observation:
If the thumbnails are invisible in the coverart view, I select an album as a new playlist and the thumbnails are back again. Clearing the playlist and refreshing the browser window (F5) and the thumbnails vanish. Tested with Firefox and Chrome.

As in the screenshot above, rern. If I untick the cover art, the volume control appears. The volume option is greyed out and cannot be changed. Volume is turned off in the bit-perfect setting.

Hi klassikmann,

on my system, coverart-view works fine on every browser. Maybe there's a "problem"-thumbnail in your folder?
I would try to temporarly move them in a different folder and move them back step-by-step until error occurs.

Hallo Andy,

thank you for your information about the non-existence of the problem in your environment. I'm doubtful whether the problem is specific to my installation or a general one. I have about 2000 coverarts so that it is rather time consuming following your proposal ("I would try to temporarly move them in a different folder and move them back step-by-step until error occurs."). What I just did is to restore an old backup and the problem persists.

Hm?

Hallo klassikmann,

maybe it's possible to copy them in alphabetical steps? I've got only 350 thumbnails with following access rignts:
-rw-r--r-- http:http

Only .jpg's are inside. But I don't have much songs with special characters in its name ...

regards, Andy

Hallo klassikmann,

WinSCP is an explorer-like tool with SSH-access - it's worth a try for such copy-actions.
