Fantastic rern! I really appreciate your work keeping this OS alive and kicking

What about Tidal support? Will it work? And if yes, what do I do need to make it work?

Keep up the good work!

Greetings

Great news. Hopefully this will solve the issues of coverart "ghosts" after items are removed from the library. Of course the simple solution.... never remove anything from your library!

Ghosts? Please explain more.
The default thumbnails are there as flags of missing coverarts in those directories.
Once they're deleted, they're gone.

Regarding "Ghosts":
Three years ago I made a similar observation, see https://www.runeaudio.com/forum/post28243.html#p28236. The effect described in my old post is still present. Another ghost appeared yesterday, after I moved one recording to a different subtree. I assume more ghosts are present.

"move" = delete thumbnail in coverarts + delete recording at source position + mpd update + insert recording at target position + mpd update + update thumbnail

klassikmann

Edit: To avoid investigations in the wrong direction, I'm not convinced that deleting/moving of entries is causative for the appearence of ghosts.

When I removed my NAS library and switched to a USB library, I rebuilt the library but I still saw many albums from the NAS in my coverarts. I rescanned fully for coverarts but I still saw albums no longer present in MPD showing in the coverart view. I needed to manually go to /srv/http/data/coverarts and delete *.jpg and then rescan before these entries vanished.
Clicking on any of these 'ghost' coverarts resulted in the loading pattern running endlessly, I needed to refresh the UI to get it usable again.
I also had ghost entries appear when I was correcting metadata on the library and rescanning or rebuilding it. For instance I had incorrect coverart and naming for some albums (with "disc1" in the title instead of using discnumber tag and with a poor quality image) I corrected the tagging and still saw the old entry of coverart in the list alongside the new one, but clicking the old one hung the UI.
