You can download it from my Google Drive.

What is new, has changed?

It's great to see this new release. I'd like to test the 'read only' feature please.

Thank you again for all the work the team put into it.

Hi Frank,

I have just installed it. I had to configure my touchscreen by hand (Waveshare 800x480) because the resolution is not automatically set.

Can I save the configuration from the previous version and restore it to the new one? I have several webradios that I would not like to enter by hand again! :)

I will test it more this evening at home and report.

All set up and working, once I remembered to reboot having set the DAC type :)

The WebRadio sorted alphabetically and not returning to the main library screen when you've added a station is excellent, thank you.

Three comments so far:

The words 'Library', 'Playback' and 'Queue' and their respective icons are all bottom-aligned. I'm sure they used to be vertically centered.

I've read elsewhere that the recent versions of MPD can play .M3U8 files natively (as used by the BBC now for their highest-res feeds). It would be great to have this in Rune. (rather than have to use MinimServer).

As noted by Stephane, it would be good to be able to save a list of Radio stations and bring them back into a new Rune installation.

Ian

PS: The artist and song information is excellent too.

This is not fair, I'm stuck at work...

Have you incorporated the 'audio' 384kHz advanced kernel?

The local screensaver does not seem to work. I changed the value to 5 (minutes?) and nothing happens.
I have a Waveshare 7" HDMI and USB touchscreen (800x480) connected.

Sorry, save and restore is not possible.
You can try this script from user "xan".

Thank you for pointing this out, this will be fixed with official release

The version used in this image should be able to use m3u8 but it is not compiled in.
I will try to get it in with the official release.

Hi Stephane,

The local screensaver does not seem to work. I changed the value to 5 (minutes?) and nothing happens.

It is in seconds and only gets activated while playing and not on the settings screens.
