Static IP over ethernet connection is not working for me.
I configure eth0 with static IP with network optin in menu but after reboot raspi is not connected and it is not possible ping with terminal (connection is unreachable).

I would like to add that ifconfig tells me that after reboot eth0 has got no IP at all.

Another minor glitch - we use two laptops to access the UI (one on OSX, one Win7, both using Chrome browser) . When one laptop is used to change what is playing etc, the other remains stuck on the previous track/coverart etc, and will not be refreshed by navigating the UI (e.g. switching between tabs etc), only by quitting and restarting the browser. Not the end of the world, of course, but a bit irritating nonetheless

This behaviour is absolutely not expected... can you check the Javascript console of the failing browser for errors?

I had troubles with cifs shares not showing in the library. Changing the deamon user:group to root:root in mpd settings seems to resolve the issue.

I've updated runeUI from git (using the dev page) with all the new commits....
the same 24/196 HDtracks that two days ago were using 80% cpu today are played using only 15% cpu
(5000kbps+ tracks)
not a single stutter, even logging in ssh
maybe something related to those runeui bugs was eating cpu cycles.
All smooth now.

Another little problem: with Firefox on Windows, I can utilize the RuneUI if I write runeaudio.local on the address link.
But with Firefox and Chrome on my Android tablet, the page is not loaded, and appear "the web page is unavailable".

That's the normal behaviour on Android when there is no Avahi/Bonjour client installed (by default there aren't).

How can I install the Avahi or Bonjour client on Android?
I want to control the RuneUI with the tablet, but I don't want to connect with the IP addres, but with runeaudio.local; on Windows it's ok.

Update did not make any difference. I'm still at 70% to 80% CPU usage when I paly the 24/192 FLAC.

I just download and test the new RuneAudio 0.3beta, and nothing works for me...

I can connect on ethernet, but no WiFi (with an Edimax who work well with raspbmc, piplay, squeezeplug and raspbian...)
I can see my share folder on my router but just a few of them and no music file inside.


I'm a bit lost :/ do I need do to something special? just to see my music for exemple (wifi can wait)

Hi ACX,

The 0.3-beta has really been great after the recent git updates to the UI.
I have Rune running on 2 RPis (one wired and one wireless), and I've noticed for the wirelessly connected RPi, that it's hit and miss as to whether rune_PL_wrk will start successfully at boot.
I've noticed the time to connect to the wireless network will vary (this is different from activating the network service), and am wondering if rune_PL_wrk fails if that connection process takes longer than some defined timeout period.
When it doesn't start automatically, I manually restart it via ssh or the UI (via the great dev page).
Following the restart, everything is great.

Currently, I'm having trouble getting manual edits to /etc/mpd.conf to stick after a reboot.
I've commented out the following in /var/www/command/rune_SY_wrk

But the changes are not sticking. I've had the same problem on the 0.3-alpha release, but after a fresh installation and the same edits, I was able to get the changes to stick. The 0.3-beta is also a fresh installation with the exception of the git pulls.

I thought I'd throw my 2c in, having just loaded up my Pi B+ with Pi-DAC+ tonight.

I was also having major stuttering problems with my 24/192 FLACs as well. I updated via git like a previous poster and I too dropped from 70%+ CPU to an average of 20%. I was also having the issue with the UI locking when updating MPD settings. That was also solved with the git update.

Now I have the very slightest stutter at the start of a new track. I have tried various combinations of audio buffer and % to load before play, nothing seems to make a difference. I'm using the Edimax wi-fi nubbin but I get the same behavior via ethernet.

I'm attaching my debug info but just as an aside, when I went to the debug page I got a hard stutter in the playback, again, 24/192 FLAC.

So far I'm very happy with RuneAudio, the Pi, and the Pi-DAC+. I'll anxiously await further refinements and updates.

My 24/192 FLACs are from my own needledrops...the audio is just fantastic. Pretty much as good as a self-burned DVD-A of the same files played in my Denon DVD-5900 reference multiplayer.

EDIT: I too seem to have the UI bug where it indicates the RPi HDMI output but I clearly am working with the Pi-DACs RCAs
