Rebuild MPD Library not working ???

Postby RussH » 30 Sep 2016, 22:33

Thanks for creating Rune Audio. I think it's great! BUT:..........

Today I added a new album to my USB SSD. (Used WINScp and sftp transfer.)
The name of the album appears in the Albums view and the Artists view of the Library.
However, none of the songs appear when I open the album.

Using Putty I have confirmed that the song files are in the album folder.
All permissions appear the same as on all other albums.

Rebuild MPD Library does not help.

I can easily play these songs if I plug the USB drive into a different PC with JRiver Media Center.

release version: 0.4 (build: beta-20160313)
I've never had any other problems with Rune Audio. I am using RA on a Raspberry Pi 3.

Perhaps my experience can help someone else. I solved my own problem.

Martin Frost's lovely Mozart clarinet concerto album title is replete with non-standard characters:

Colección Mozart "El Pais", Vol. 3: Grandes Obras para Clarinete [Fröst]

Editing the album title instantly allowed the Rune Audio library to work perfectly.

Lesson learned for next time!

I further investigated my problem above. I checked through my library for any albums with special characters in the title. I found that most special characters are handled correctly. However, it appears that any double-quote symbol in the title will cause the album contents not to be found.
