RadioFeeds UK Add-on

Postby LeighP » 03 Dec 2018, 22:42

Not sure if this is the correct section but could this be made into an add-on?

I use Winamp with www.radiofeeds.co.uk/winamp.asp added on as an Online Services.

Could I do this myself as it's only html based?

All suggestions appreciated as the RadioFeeds website is a great resource.

I guess this won't ever be considered as I've had zero feedback.

Never mind.

Hi LeighP,

I took a look at it, but due to a problem in the version of MPD being used in 0.5 could not get it to work. Its on my to-do list, but no idea when I will be able to spend time on it.

I've not got the skills to figure out an integrated rune/radiofeeds directory but I'm experimenting on how I can easily create m3u based playlists that I upload to runeaudio which I use with my gpio buttons for selecting my preset radio stations using the radiofeed data.

I've got a copy of the radiofeed data and working out how best to represent it in a local database for me to query what I want to generate in a constant way, it's interesting how varied it's represented in the streams. Also show radio station logo on my eink display, originally I was reading the streams metadata but its not always consistent, I'm now adding an extra part '?station_name=BBC_Radio_1' to the stream url that I can read to the eink the right logo bmp if I have one.

Code: Select all
#EXTINF:2,BBC Radio 1
http://bbcmedia.ic.llnwd.net/stream/bbcmedia_radio1_mf_p?station_name=BBC_Radio_1

Example of my playlists, also code for my gpio buttons/eink

That looks great lakeuk and a fantastic thing to be developing - it shows how personal we can make RuneAudio - I've a nicely cased Rune system and happy with it - the radio side is secondary to my music collection but the 'radiofeeds' would have been a nice addition.
