I just used the RCA Jacks and didn't test the optical output. However I have nice and clean audio-playback without any hearable noise, clipping or distortion playing FLAC files. I even build a little box (used an old Iphone 5 Case) in which both the Raspberry PI and the Behringer UCA222 fit.
Additional Info: Since the only difference betweeen the Behringer UCA202 (silver case) and the UCA222 (red case) ist the color of the case and the Software that comes with it, the "plug-and-play"-compatibility should apply to both.
