Postby spacemonkeyuk » 02 Sep 2014, 21:20

This my current project.

Amplifier: Cambridge Audio Topaz AM1 Amplifier
Speakers: Wharfedale Diamond 9.1 Speakers
DAC: IQaudIO Pi-DAC+ (when Release)
Hardware: Raspberry Pi B+
Case: Aluminum chassis case enclosure for F6 circuit preamp amplifier
PSU: Lascar PSU-20105
Other: ATXRaspi, RJ45 Male to Female Screw panel mount, mini heat sinks

The music files are either Flac or MP3 which are hosted on Zyxel NAS325 v2

Case

I modified the case to add Momentary led switch to be wired to an ATXRaspi http://lowpowerlab.com/atxraspi/

3 pairs of RCA holes were removed to allow for cable access

Build
I have mount the PI, ATXRaspi and Power supply on a piece of aluminium sheet with a number of metal stand off secured in place with some JD weld.

To do
    Add LCD display
    Mount RJ45 panel in hole
Add RCA connectors to rear panel and have RCA plugs internal for connect to the IQaudIO
    Add infra-red remote

Design Issue
MicroSD card removal is only possible by removing the Raspberry Pi B+
USB and HDMI Cables have to be routed under ATXRasPI
USB ports are a little to close to the rear

Very nice build !

Looking forward to seeing an update post the to do list, espec the remote, been looking at a couple myself.

The ATXRaspi looks a nice alternative to the Mausberry Circuits one I was looking at thanks, only problem with either is access to the GPIO pins with a current DAC installed
