[SOLVED] OPUS audio

Hello everybody,

does RuneAudio support opus audio format? AFAIK, MPD should support it since version 0.18 (http://goo.gl/hYb1vI), but none of my .opus files are shown in the library.

Is it been left out for optimizations purpose?
If I really really need to read my opus file, can I rebuild it enabling opus decoder or is it a bad idea?

You'll surely help us if you test that - you can try to recompile the package including OPUS audio support, and see if you notice any issue of degraded performance.

I eventually managed to recompile and install the latest mpd version (19.6) with the --enable-opus option and everything seems to work without problems.
Only thing I noticed is that bitrate is always "0 kbps" while playing .opus file.

Maybe it's a MPD issue as we just display the instant value at the beginning of the file. Anyway we are going to change this behaviour soon, displaying the average bitrate of the file, which makes more sense.
