@hondagx35: As shared from HifiBerry, I switched the clock on the DAC+ off by adding the ",slave=on" right after "dtoverlay=hifiberry-dacplus" in the /boot/config.txt so we have like this "dtoverlay=hifiberry-dacplus,slave=on" that the sound is very nice and detailed. Can I do the same for my usb DAC on C2? I ask because we cannot access the /boot/config.txt on C2? My usb dac is Sabre9018 so the advice is to change to "dtoverlay=sabreberry32,slave". Thanks.

P.S: I have just received the USB Audio adapter that it works perfectly on C2 via Rune but its sound is not very nice.

Hi dunghnguyen,

I switched the clock on the DAC+ off by adding the ",slave=on"

You switched off the main feature of the HifiBerry DAC + pro.
Some users asked us about the jitter on the Raspberry Pi data lines. The impact of jitter in digital sound transmissions is being discussed controversy. But we decided to give you the choice to have an ultra-low-jitter clock to the HiFiBerry DAC+. Therefore we developed the new DAC+ Pro. It comes with its own dual-domain clock circuit wich provides 2 separate clocks for 44.1/88.2/176.4 and 48/96/192kHz sample rates.

And it sounds better?

Can I do the same for my usb DAC on C2?

No
I ask because we cannot access the /boot/config.txt on C2?

You can not compare RP with ODROID C2 at this point.
The kernel used for the ODROID C2 image doesn't use device-tree-overlays for its I2S sound drivers.

My usb dac is Sabre9018 so the advice is to change to "dtoverlay=sabreberry32,slave".

The slave parameter is only valid for the HifiBerry I2S driver!
A USB DAC can not switched into slave or master mode, because it works totally different.

Tks for your advice. Dont mind it much since I just want to try any corner to see if we may have different taste in term of audio :)

Another way round, I will try with a Teradak - Sabre ES9023 based dac board very soon to see how C2 work via I2S.

Hi Frank,

For touch function of WaveShare 7" IPS display, image for C2 already fixed?
Will this fix also apply for image for C1+? (As I also want to use C1+ with this display)

If steps are simple, please share.

I have Odroid C2 with ODROID-VU7 Plus: 7inch 1024 x 600 HDMI display with Multi-touch.

Multi-touch did not function at start-up, but work well after unplug and plug the USB cables.

Hi Frank,

My DSD DAC back to my home.
I connect C2 ( via USB with Amanero 384 ) to my HiFi system.
I find some irregular click sound during playback

Hi

I believe it happens in all sampling rate and format.
But I test it mainly on 16/44.1 PCM FLAC and 2.8M DSD DSF file.

Click sound not so loud and seems not clipping noise.
