ODAC Works

Postby tc-fi » 25 Jan 2014, 03:37

I've been able to test RuneOS + Pi + ODAC using Airplay and it plays 16/44 ALAC files perfectly. This is very nice!

I am unable to test direct playback using RuneUI because the database scan does not pick up my ALAC files that are stored on a Win7 file server. It does pick up some 24/96 FLAC files though and they seem to play perfectly.

As soon as I can get a successful database scan I will post results of direct playback through the ODAC using ALAC 16/44 and also some ALAC and FLAC 24/96 files.

Regards,

After enabling ffmpeg per this post---
rpi-runeaudio-0-2beta-does-not-recognized-m4a-t71.html

---I was able to test direct playback of 16/44 ALAC using RuneUI (not Airplay) and it plays perfectly. I've played several hours of music and no glitches.

My Pi is using eth0. When wlan0 capability is supported, a retest is in order.
