HiFiBerry DAC+ ADC Pro

Hi,

Hifi Berry have a DAC+ ADC Pro
https://www.hifiberry.com/shop/boards/h ... c-adc-pro/
It is able to record in 24bits/192Hz

I havent't bought it yet.
I'd like to make a player for my hifi with a Raspberry pi with only Rune Audio on the SD Card, this Hi-fi berry as the soundcard and an external hard drive where I will store all my music.
There will certainely be a Pi Touch screen.
Recording some vinyls or anything with it would be great.

I presice to be familiar with Linux OS and use vey oftenly the terminal.

This page tells that you can record with audacity:
https://www.hifiberry.com/docs/software ... pberry-pi/
The illustrations shows that the Pi is running under a Linux os like Lubuntu as you are in the installation software manager.

But you can also use the 'arecord' command
https://dev2.hifiberry.com/build/docume ... pberry-pi/
The manpage :
https://linux.die.net/man/1/arecord

I don't know much about Rune audio or any other players like Volumio.

Is it possible to record with Rune Audio ?

If I connect a keybord to the PI running on Rune Audio, would it be possible to go a terminal and run this "arecord" command ?

Or should I install a linux disto for the pie ?

Thank you
