Help!

Postby 1Corndog » 15 Jun 2020, 00:46

All I wanted was a simple music player for my stereo. I have an external hard drive full of music, Schiit Eitr which converts usb to spdf which then connects to my dac.

I just got an Rp4 which I’ve never played with before. I updated the pi before installing anything. It took me a while before I could even figure out how to install this program.
Eventually I figured it out and installed this version of rune audio

https://www.mediafire.com/file/ifsycver ... mg.xz/file

and fired it up. It started up but I’m having trouble with the gui. I can’t see my cursor. I can get to settings and have tried to update but it fails and tells me to try again later.

I can’t enable any of the switches.

I can’t even close the program. I tried alt+f4 but I just get a RuneAudio ID prompt.

I’m a total noob on the pi.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure you write the RuneAudio_rpi2_rp3_0.4-beta_20170229_2GB.img to the micro SD card, preferably with this tool https://sourceforge.net/projects/win32diskimager/ Use a Sandisc Micro SD card, not a cheap one, they will go corrupt in no time. Put it in the Pi, connect the Pi with a network cable, start it up and check your router for the right ip adress, put this number in your browser, a modern uptodate like Chrome, and you will enter the user interface correctly.
