Hi

Try RP3 with RuneAudio release version: 0.4 (build: beta-20160313)
Compatibility on double byte character display are much better than 0.3.

Thanks RuneAudio

Thanks for the new version! I am trying the same 20160313.

I can confirm that Simplified Chinese also display well.

However, the output screen from the Pi2's HDMI doesn't display the Chinese characters correctly. I took a photo as below.
I guess some font was just missing in the build?

My guess was correct after I did an experiment in SSH. Chinese font is missing in the build.

1. Install a Chinese font.
Code: Select all
pacman -S opendesktop-fonts

2. Flush font cache. (I don't know if it is necessary. I just did.)
Code: Select all
fc-cache -vfs

3. Reboot Runeaudio
Code: Select all
reboot

4. Enjoy.

I'll try other fonts to see if it is possible to make it look nicer, when I have time.
