Experiences with MPD Proxy Database Plugin?

Postby englishtim » 06 Dec 2018, 22:07

Hi Everyone,

I have a couple of RuneAudios, both running well on different generations of Raspberry Pi. However it's starting to get tedious to update / rebuild the Source database separately on each device.

I've seen references elsewhere to MPD's Proxy Database Plugin (https://www.musicpd.org/doc/html/user.h ... lite-setup), which seems to offer the possibility of using one instance of MPD to manage the tags database, and for other MPD instances to use that database instead of their local one. If it works, this might be an ideal solution for those of us with more than one RuneAudio device.

Has anyone tried the MPD Proxy Database Plugin with RuneAudio? Can anyone offer any pointers? I'm not sure where to start...

Thanks in advance,

Peace and friendship,
englishtim
