Durio Sound card on Raspberry Pi B+ working

Postby jerlad » 30 Jan 2015, 06:20

This is working well with Volume Control disabled.

I've been comparing audio tracks on it as well as on a Pono Player and with a Geek Out 1000 connected to my Macbook Pro. The latter two have more power, but I've tried to see the volume output to be the same as what I am hearing through the Durio and the Durio is sounding really good.

I am using a pair of HifiMan HE-400s for all tests

Hi jerlad,
thank you for your feedback. Could you post your debug info via Pastebin here? So we can survey that DAC too.

Hello ACX,

I'm new here and I just now checked in again to this forum today, while listening to some excellent Anoushka Shankar & Karsh Kale
Oceanic, Pt. 2, Breathing Under Water on this DAC :-)

I need to do a little research to learn how to get that debug and post it to Pastebin, but I'll get it done.

I tried HiFiBerry DAC, HiFiBerry DAC+, and HiFiBerry Digi / Digi+, which all work. I haven't done a thorough listening, but right now HiFiBerry DAC is more pleasing to me. The sound is more fuller with my HiFiMan HE-400s.

BR,
Jerald
