[SOLVED] Duplicate library showing

Postby ianhaynes » 16 Oct 2015, 16:01

Having reset my powerline devices to try and solve the 24/192 problem I reported below (which is not a Rune bug, so apologies for this) I ended up with two network mounts showing for the same NAS drive.

Having deleted one of these I still have 'Network Mounts (2)' showing on the 'Browse Your Library' screen.

A bug?

Nothing I have tried removes the duplicate library.

Hi,

just saw ACX's comment, he is a better counseller than I am. I guess int the folder /mnt/MPD/NAS there is one entry which is surplus to requirements. Whether it is wise to delete this entry ACX will know better than me.

Hi Ian,
try this method:

1) remove all network mounts present in Sources section.

2) login with ssh into RuneAudio player.

3) enter into the network mounts root directory.
Code: Select all
 cd /mnt/MPD/NAS

4) remove all the unneeded directories.
Code: Select all
rmdir Music
rmdir Library
rmdir Music Library

5) go into Sources section and start MPD REBUILD LIBRARY. (it will take seconds because you have no mount points active).

6) recreate your network mount point.

Bye.
Simone.

Simone,

Many thanks, that's resolved the problem.

Interestingly, there was no 'Music' or 'Library' directory. Looking at the contents of NAS showed

Code: Select all
[root@runeaudio NAS]# dir
Music\ \ Library

'rmdir Music\ \ Library' worked and I was able to add the network mount again and rebuild the library.
