DSD tags?

Postby guyb » 09 Sep 2015, 07:08

Hey all,

Does RuneAudio support tags in DSD files?

I am using RuneAudio as a DLNA renderer and use my Synology NAS and AudioStation to 'send' audio to RuneAudio.

I get full tag support for FLAC and MP3 and so on.

I have attached an image show the info displayed for DSD files

Thanks

Hi, just wanted to chime in...I'm running Runeaudio and it does display my dsf tags, so it's definitely supported. I disabled dlna and mounted the network drive directly within runeaudio though.

DSD tags?

So it must be a DLNA thing!

The question now is - is this a Rune Audio thing or is it my Synology NAS?

How would one go about trying to find out?

Sorry man, I'm kinda new to all these and not very well versed with DLNA, so won't be able to help much.

I'm running Runeaudio on a Rpi2 though, how about you? I previously tried DLNA streaming via desktop JRiver and found the remote control via app extremely clunky and laggy. After which I mounted the harddisk directly as a network source and controlled it via WebUI and found it a lot more responsive, hence i'm sticking to this setup.

I believe this also enables bit perfect output to an external USB DAC(which is what my setup does),I'm not sure if DLNA supports the way I want to setup my "listening post" system.
