Compiling / loading Allo Piano drivers

Postby gattu_marrudu » 17 Apr 2020, 17:53

Hello,
I would like to upgrade the kernel and packages in Rune. I have an Allo Piano 2.1 and I will need to upgrade the kernel modules for that too.

I see the firmware sources on https://github.com/allocom/piano-firmware however I am not familiar with this format—I am used to downloading the driver sources and compiling them for the current kernel.

Can someone walk me through how the Rune kernel is updated?

Thank you,
gm

Hi gattu_marrudu,

In RuneAudio 0.5b the drivers for the Allo 2.1 DAC are already built in. You should be able to select the drivers in the settings menu, reboot an then select the DAC in the MPD menu.
