Can't mount folder on server (MAC) (solved)

Postby hokamyiu » 22 Oct 2016, 19:03

Hi,

I was planning to buy a NAS (likely Synology) as music file storage for Runeaudio, so conducted some testing to ensure mounting network folders would not be a problem.

I'm using a Powerline Adapter installed in my bedroom with direct Ethernet connections to both Runeaudio/Rasperry Pi and MAC (shared folders on MAC). My main LAN router (192.168.31.1) is situated outside of my bedroom (at living room). Here is the config on Runeaudio Sources -

IP address for MAC : 192.168.31.217
Fileshare Protocol : CMB/CIFS (OS X Share)
Remote Directory : Macintosh HD/Users/keiho/CelineDion/

On MPD, Daemon User has been changed from MPD:Audio (Default) to Root:Root

Always got the same error below -
mount error(22): Invalid argument Refer to the mount.cifs(8) manual page (e.g. man mount.cifs)

Could it be something to do with the fact that I am using a Powerline adapter instead of a router ? Please help out as otherwise I'd have to drop the idea of installing a NAS.

Many thanks!
