I like the sound quality of Rune on my Beaglebone Black and I really want to stream Qobuz via upnp to my BB black. I've tried to install upmpdcli from Rune, but I can't manage to install it properly.

Hence, my back door solution is to use upmpdcli package from Archphile while waiting for the official Rune image. Please note: this is temporary solution for using upnp with rune on BB until we get the official package.

Install upmpdcli (Archphile package) on Rune:

First edit /etc/pacman.conf
Code: Select all
[root@runeaudio ~]# nano /etc/pacman.conf

Add Archphile repo to the bottom section of pacman.conf by typing this:
Code: Select all
[archphile]
SigLevel = Never
Server = http://archphile.org/repo/arm7

Then ctrl U to save then exit ctrl X

After that do:
Code: Select all
[root@runeaudio ~]# pacman -Sy

then install libupnpp-archphile by typing:
Code: Select all
[root@runeaudio ~]# pacman -S libupnpp-archphile

then install upmpdcli-archphile by typing:
Code: Select all
[root@runeaudio ~]# pacman -S upmpdcli-archphile

then do
Code: Select all
[root@runeaudio ~]#  pacman -S libtool gcc gcc-libs

choose yes (Y) for :: libtool and libltdl are in conflict. Remove libltdl? [y/N] y
wait till pacman finish

start upmpdcli
Code: Select all
[root@runeaudio ~]# systemctl start upmpdcli

Use your bubbleupnp app on android and stream music. I've tried streaming Qobuz and FLAC files via bubbleupnp and it works.

Notes: I still have problem streaming AIFF files via upmpdcli as I get static only. Hopefully, someone can help me with this.

This thread is very old, but, for the record: some mpd versions have trouble playing aiff files through HTTP (which is what happens when the tracks are added through upmpdcli). The solution is to upgrade to a recent version (0.19.xx), and if this is not enough, configure it without libaudiofile, which is usually the source of the problem (and is redundant with other better-behaved input processors).
