Pressure washer buying guide from A to Z

A high quality pressure washer plays a decisive role to take pride in your house’s beauty. A pressure washer uses the powerful pressure of water to clean fences, driveways, siding, and decks, etc. This machine has become popular that many cleaning equipment manufacturers have joined the battle of Top Rated Pressure Washer Image for home use.

It is good to have multiple options to choose from but you will need to spend some time to know about some basic information about pressure washers. Remember that you are the one to make the final decision and not just listen to the sales consultant!

1/ How does a water pressure washer work?

Based on what we usually call this machine, we can partly guess how the machine works. Water comes in low pressure and the gas engine or the electric motor will pump it out at high pressure.

To know how powerful a machine is you should check these two elements: PSI (Pounds per Square Inch) and GPM (Gallons per Minute). The higher they are, the more powerful and faster the machine can perform.

Light duty jobs

The rate is normally between 1300 and 1900 PSI, which is equal to 2 GPM. This pressure level is good for cleaning cars, patio furniture, and grills.

Medium duty jobs

The pressure rate is from 2000 to 2800 PSI and higher, which is equal to 2-3 GPM. Personally speaking, this type is the most suitable power washer for home use and even for shop use. This type can be good for cleaning fences, walkways, and driveways, etc.

Heavy-duty jobs

The pressure rate is from 2800 PSI and higher, which is equal to 3-4 GPM. These types of machines are much stronger and have a more durable engine to handle sturdier cleaning tasks such as removing graffiti, exterior siding and paint stripping, etc.

2/ What are the differences between a gas pressure washer and electric pressure washer?

Electric pressure washer

This type is less powerful and less mobile than the gas pressure washer but it is lightweight and it runs quieter. Moreover, it is easy to use by just plugging in the extension cords. It is ideal for cleaning cars, fences, grills, and decks, etc.

Gas pressure washer

This type is more powerful and mobile but it is more complicated to manipulate. The consumer must follow strictly the instruction of the manufacturer. It is good for cleaning driveways, decks, patios, and exterior siding.

To sum up

If you would like to ask “What is the best pressure washer to buy”, you need to determine your real needs based on all information I have shared in this article. Gas pressure washers are more expensive than those electric power pressures but if you think that most of your outdoor cleaning tasks are about paint stripping, exterior siding, and walkways, you should go for gas pressure washers.

Are you sure you meant for this question to be posted in the Raspberry PI forum? It sounds like you might be running a Linux x86 computer with an Asus card.

On the bottom of the U7 MK II, there is a small switch for USB mode. It is KrogerFeedback switched to USB 1.0 by default for plug & play, if you change it to USB 2.0 the driver will install properly.
