Alsa config issue

Postby r11bordo » 02 Dec 2015, 22:37

Hi,
I try new help request by hoping it won't be a message in a bottle :D

When I lauch Hdtrack on Odroid C1+, RuneAudio don't really like this treatment ... :geek:
I have backup debug file configuration. Is there anybody who can read this debug file and indicate me the reason why RuneAudio is unable to decode hdrack on Odroid board ? I precise that I have no problem to decode hdtrack on the same board but with unbutu.

Thanks in advance for any help or explanation

i think here a many users who can.
But without more information it's nearly impossible to help you.

What do you mean with "hdrack"?

Hi,
By "hdrack", I would say "hd track" (24 bit flac files)...

This is debug info : http://pastebin.com/gUb4TX1H
Thanks

I had no issue to playback 24bit/192Khz FLAC music files with my USB DACs on C1+ RuneAudio.

Can you try to add a parameter of nrpacks=1 on the UAC device driver?

But I am not sure whether it is related to your issue or not.

Hi,

Yes, it is !
It works now ...
What is the aim of this parameter "snd-usb-audio nrpacks=1" and what does the value "1" mean regarding the default value "8" into modprob.conf ?
Thanks a lot for your reply. :)

After one day test, it works ... technically... but musicaly, it is cheap and fast quality... The sound is very flat, thin, harsh and numeric, without fluidity. I don't know if it is caused by hardware or software but I can't obtain an acceptable result. My squeezebox Touch produces a result in a higher category.
Perhaps a Squeeze OS would be better customized than runeaudio for Odroid ... :?
