Spotify username is a device username (nos) not recognised

I connect to Spotify via my Facebook account. Not a username.

In order to use an app on my iPad I got from Spotify a username which was all numbers and set up a password. This works fine on apps and the Web version BUT

In Rune audio the sopd.log shows Login failed Bad Username/password. The lines before shows
2015-04-26 10:19:02 [SPTF] 09:19:02.051 I [ap:1226] Connected to AP: 194.132.162.82:4070
2015-04-26 10:19:03 [SPTF] 09:19:03.787 E [ap:3953] Connection error: 410

Seems a bug to me. If I am missing a trick sorry but I have entered username / password several times (and as I said) I have just logged into spotify.com fine using the username / password.

Hope it is fixable, I'd like to try Spotify.

Does your username/password contain special characters (like spaces, /,\)?
If so, please try to use one without.

Fast response!! No it doesn't it is just numbers BUT I just triple checked and because I copied and pasted the name rather than risk mistyping it had a trailing space.

Idiot not bug.

Much appreciated forcing me to exhaustively check rather than just visually
