First thing i did was updating RuneAudio. No problem, After that Selecting the Piano 2.1 dac and rebooting went smoothly. Music files were found on an inserted USB stick. But no sound coming from the dac. Opening the mpd tab is not possible. RuneAudio displays the flashing logo.
Unselecting the piano 2.1 dac is also possible. RuneAudio appears to be running correctly.
The dac is ok, as it works with the fork Volumio, but I prefer RuneAudio (running older version for years now).
Any suggestions how to proceed?

i have the same problem with a kali reclocker in between.

i think it has to do with the kernel but not sure if this same problem is also for runeaudio .
for now I'm using runeaudio over raspberry pi 4 with a musical fidelity m1 usb dac until this problem is solved

i am using a raspberry pi 3b for the kali and piano 2.1.

I have run into the same issue ("Opening the mpd tab is not possible. RuneAudio displays the flashing logo"), this time with HiFiBerry DAC+ PRO. It seems obvious that the issue is related to a new kernel and the card compatibility as discussed e.g. here: https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/view ... p?t=144284. Have tested a lot other applicationsincluding of this workaround his: https://www.hifiberry.com/docs/software ... ux-3-18-x/ w/o any positive result.

The question would be: Is it possible to downgrade kernel of RuneAudio+R e6 to 4.19.118 and how?

Thanks a lot, K

Updated to Re6 20201122 Kernel 5.4.71-1 with RPi4 and Waveshare Screen attached via DPI (not HDMI or GPIO).

Rotate Screen in landscape now does not work. Have been using this setup for a long time with various versions of Rune Re with no problem until now.

Is there a file I can modify manually to change the rotation?

Thanks!

I have Raspberry Pi 1 B+ with HiFi Berry DAC and 20x4 LCD display and I am using rune version 0.5. Yesterday I gave a chance to this one and it worked out of the box. I found that this version is slower than rune 0.5. It takes some time to change info after track changed (both web browser and LCD). I know RPi 1 B+ is outdated HW but rune 0.5 with text LCD works like a charm.

I added mappings for polish diacritical letters in hd44780_a00.py. I think it is worth to mention about it.

Could you add scrolling on LCD?

I found that adding source works in old Microsoft Edge (pre Chromium):

but on Chromium based browsers looks like in this post

Update R+Re6 20201127

The latest update resolves for me the following problems:

  1. Cumbersome switching "Mixer Control" from "disable" to "MPD software" and vice versa
see reports by bink, r101, BVLabs
  2. Using Bluetooth as sender not possible, sink found but no pairing
  3. If "System Menu -> Sound profile" checked: specific profile not selectable.

Hello!
All bugs discussed earlier have been fixed. This is great news.
But, now the access point does not work normally - it is impossible to connect, the mobile device does not receive the IP address. Constantly - "obtaining ip address..."

@rern,

There is a small bug on the playlist page.

If the playlist is displayed, when the cursor moves to track 2, it leaves the play icon and elapsed time showing on track 1 until it moves on to track 3. It then leaves the icon on track 3 until it moves to track 5, and so on. Any action which refreshes the page, clears the error.

@rern,

Sorry rern, I think I have found another one. I unplugged and reconnected the USB DAC for the first time since the update, and am now back to having no sound card detected and no sound card entry in mpd.conf.

I have added several of my streaming stations from the DI.FM service.

When I try to play one of them, I get:
Nov 30 15:41 : ffmpeg/lrc: Format lrc detected only with low score of 5, misdetection possible!
Nov 30 15:41 : ffmpeg: No audio stream inside
Nov 30 15:41 : exception: Failed to decode http://listen.jazzradio.com/premium/smo ... c8e262201d
Nov 30 15:41 : player: played "http://listen.jazzradio.com/premium/smoothjazz.pls?listen_key=keygoeshere"

I can take the same URL and play it in VLC.

Any Idea what the issue may be?

The stations are inside of the .pls file.....use those in Web radio. Save the pls and then open in an editor....hth

Hi! In the new update, all the problems I described are fixed. Thank you so much, Rern!

Question: how can I turn off the check for updates? For example, I want to freeze this assembly at this stage.
Maybe this can be done with an option in the section - Features?
