WLAN1 issue

Postby zerocover » 21 Mar 2017, 18:30

On a RPI 3 with the rune audio 0.4 image.

Having an issue with Wlan1. Wlan0 works, that being said range is near zero as I have a HiFiBerry on it and it seems to greatly affect the on-board wifi.

On Wlan1 the gui shows scanning for networks but it never finds any. I've tried with 2 different wifi dongles.

I'm not sure what path to take on this.

Here is some debug data. Not sure whats needed.

eth0 TX 1.53GiB RX 3.87GiB wlan0 TX 93.02KiB RX 15.27MiB
lo TX 26.49MiB RX 26.49MiB wlan1 TX 0.00B RX 0.00B

On the raspberry pi, the built in wifi antenna is on the top side on the end with the LEDs. Try pointing that towards your router. Although mine is working through a wall and some 50-75 feet, aiming away from the router, with a hifiberry dac+ on it. Don't know the implications of adding a wifi dongle, sorry.

Hi zerocover,

what dongle is used?
Please post your debug data with the dongle installed.

Hi zerocover,

your EDIMAX should work.

Please disable the internal wifi and try again.
