Hi Rern,
Thank you very much for this update.
I shall try it as soon as possible.
I need some clarifications regarding the USB thumb drive for the extra directories.
My library is on a NAS drive and after the db creation, locally (in the SD card) are present directories like the playlists, webradios etc.
How I can “transfer” all this to the new image ?
I have to copy the existing directories like the “playlists”, webradios” etc to the usb drive ?
If the above is correct, the Usb drive must have a specific name ?
What are the exact names of all the extra directories that I can copy?

Thanks in advance
Stavros

Just copy the extra directories:
- bookmarks
- coverarts
- lyrics
- playlists
- webradiopl
- webradio
to the USB drive. Any names / labels for the USB drive would be fine. The initial boot will find and set them up for you, like by RuneUIe installation.

Hi rern,

Thanks for this - it's a big step forward. I gave it a try, but won't be adopting it until it does m3u8 feeds. Edit: Ignore that - I just remembered you have to turn on the ffmpeg codecs!

I am using a wifi dongle on a Pi3, and found a couple of bugs:

If the onboard wifi and bt are disabled with the addon, the dongle does not work either, and re-enabling does not restore it. This is because of the rfkill command in the addon script. (If using the old Edimax dongle on 0.5, you have to blacklist unwanted drivers manually too. Rasbian blacklists them by default.)

When adding webradio stations, the OK button did not work, but the enter key did. I am not clear about how you transfer an existing Webradio folder since the import Webradio addon disappeared.

The Android app does not show icons, just an outline. It still works OK without the UIe.

Hi rern,

this topic should be pinned on top of the forum - or be merged with janui's download links. This would help newbies to find the latest versions.

Anyway - thanks a lot!

Regards, Andy

Hi rern,

How do you turn off the artwork in the library? On a small screen it takes up most of the display.

The option to rotate the display does not appear when the local browser is enabled, and the zoom-setting addon does not allow a custom value to be entered. I could not get the touchscreen keyboard to appear, either.

WiFi dongle:
You have to do it the way you did on default 0.5.

Add webradios, local browser options:
Fixed by a push update next time Addons opened.

Android app icon:
It is still fine on mine.

Artwork in Library:
Just a swipe to the list. Tell me more why would you want to hide it.

Thanks for the fixes, rern.

This is a browser related problem. The default browser for Android 5.1.1 does not handle whatever has changed, and I cannot update the default browser. If the app could be made to use Chrome rather than the default browser, it would work fine.

Just personal taste. When I click on the album folder, I prefer to see the track listing rather than have a picture of the CD taking up most of the space. I can turn off album art everywhere else.

You say swipe to the list, but how do you do that on a Pi touch screen or desktop browser?

rern,

There looks to be a problem with the samba shares. A smb.conf link is created which points to smb-dev.conf, which does not exist by default.
