Control runeaudio with USB keypad

I like the webUI for managing playlists, but I would like to be able to control the playback in the same place that I control playback of my radio, turntable, etc. In other words, I want to play, pause, skip ahead using buttons connected to the raspberry pi.

I know this is possible through buttons hard-wired to the GPIO, but I'm wondering if it would also be possible to connect a number keypad via USB and assign the keypad buttons to playback commands?

Raspberry Pi 3
RuneAudio version 0.4

Thanks!

Hi littledogie,

welcome to Rune Audio.

The magic word for a forums search is xbindkeys
Or see here.
xbindkeys is installed and activated on the RP2/3 image.
You only have to adapt the configuration in /root/.xbindkeysrc

xbindkeys
