The Raspberry foundation recently released a 7″ Touchscreen Monitor for Raspberry Pi.

It would be nice to get support for this display in Runeaudio.

i got my display last week and it is already running with a local browser.
Touch works fine, we only have to adapt the gui a bit to better fit the resolution (800x480).
It would be nice to have some users for testing.
I will release a image (or tutorial) soon.

That is excellent to hear. If you have a image or tutorial to test let me know.

I'm using a Waveshare 7 inch HDMI (B) LCD with touchscreen (800x480) so if I may be of any help let me know.

As shown in another thread, it would be great to configure it to just show the song info for the currently playing track

the coming image will display the playback screen on a connected monitor (HDMI) or the new raspberry touch tft.
This feature is configurable as a option.

One maybe related question - is it possible to hide the volume control from the playback screen if you have volume control set to disabled?

Just ordered the official 7" display

Gonna have to find me a posh HTPC style case to mount it in now along with the Raspberry Pi.

Maybe I can also mount the linear power supply I am using inside the case too
