ODROID C2

Odroid C2 has been announced by Hardkernel today:

The ODROID-C2 is a 64-bit quad-core Single Board Computer (SBC) that is one of the most cost-effective 64-bit development boards available in the ARM world. It will be available for purchase on March 2, 2016 at US$40. The mass production will be started from February 15, 2016 and the first shipping date is March 4.

A further step forward from the already good ODROID C1. If the 64-bit implementation is not troublesome, we'd like to port RuneAudio to it in the future.

Hi Michael,

Will new release include options to support different size and brands of display?

Yes they will.

As soon as i have finished the image for RP3 i will start with a new image for the ODROIDs.
I think both C1 and C2 are worth to get more attention.

First step will be a local browser for HDMI displays (like ODROID-VU7 ).
From there it should be easy to integrate other displays (like C1 3.2inch TFT)
For the smaller TFT we have to decide what to display on the screen because of the limited resolution.
Any suggestions and ideas are welcome, let me know.

In favor of C2 +1

Small TFT screen 3.2 ", 3.5" I think no need to add touch function!
Because he's too small. As long as it is able to display the album chart & title.

This allows TFT & C2 to be packed in a box with a similar alarm clock.
It's easy to see where it's easy to see. It's like a work of art.
Can also be placed next to the use of HI-END sound, but does not appear low

The actual functional operation is still depending on the phone or IPAD!

Can notice the arrival time of image C2? He is 0.4bata?

Dear Frank,

Thanks your prompt reply.
I wish compatibility of TFT mon will include some popular high resolution and performance HDMI LCD such as waveshare 7inch HDMI LCD (C) or something like that.
I feel it perform much better that ODROID-VU7.

DLNA support should be another feature wish.

Best Regards
Michael
