Hi Leslie Yu,

your wifi dongle uses a RALINK chip (RT5572).
I'm not sure, but i think it is not supported by Arch Linux out of the box (see here).

I loaded v0.3, MPD works, however the library update keeps updating. I enabled "default" log level, created mpd.log, and restart libary scan, when the scanning ends, the web page (http://runeaudio.local) still showing library is updating. I type "mpc status" and it says "Updating DB" too.

Is there some setting required or is it a known issue?

(I put the music on NAS, using CIFS to mount to /mnt/NAS. I found that NFS not working due to permission issue but it seems because the C1+ and the NAS has different user account setup)

Hi obee,

when the scanning ends

Where did you see that it ends?

Is there some setting required or is it a known issue?

How big is your music library?
Did you mount the whole NAS or only the music folder?
MPD needs a bit to scan the library.

I have nearly 2T of music of FLAC, WAV. PCM & DSD. The NAS is Atom PC, it already took over 8 hours to update so I think it's not relate to hardware.

Hi,
the image is rather old. Will there be an update in the near future or do you think the system will survive a "pacman -Syu". I tried the update way with a raspberry image some time ago and that left the image unusable!

cheers
fish

Hi,

fish wrote:or do you think the system will survive a "pacman -Syu".

It definitively will not.

What do you expect from such an update?
Are there any problems with the current image?

Will there be an update in the near future....?

There will be a new image with the next release.
If i find the time i will make an update with support for a local browser.

Updating such an image is nothing you can do within a few hours.

Hi,
for the pi 3 the image with kernel 4.x I've got support for the onboard wifi - this is of course not interesting for the odroid board. But it becomes very interesting with the dsd support. With the actual image I don't get any sound whenever I want to play some of my dsf files. This was the same on the pi3, but that changed with the new image: there the dsf files are working flawlessly.

Best regards

Hi fish,

you can not compare Raspberry Pi and ODROID.

You always have to see what kernel is available for your device.
For the ODROID C1 we are now at Kernel 3.10.96 i think.

The DSD issue is something different and should be solvable with an updated mpd package.
Let me see what i can do.
