Postby Apratim » 29 Dec 2016, 16:07

I am a new guy here
i am working on my project of making a cheap audio interface over ethernet
i use reaper,Rasp pi 3
so my question is please can anyone tell me which driver to use in reaper to send audio signal to the Pi with less Latency
and which DAC module should I BUY (i prefer only a 3.5 mm phone Jack @ 96KHz)

Hi Apratim,

Reaper appears to be a comprehensive product - the user guide is 461 pages!

Are you sure you need a streaming device (RPi) between Reaper and a DAC? Also, it is widely known that the 3.5mm audio output on the RPi is very low quality - it's OK for basic speech but not for high quality music. Most users would either choose to output to a DAC from a USB port or create an RCA or S/PDIF optical output via an add-on board like the HifiBerry Digi board.

As the question specifically asks about the Raspberry Pi, try asking for help in the popular Raspberry Pi section of the forum, within the Development and Support section.
