Unable to mount NAS

Postby nic » 16 Dec 2013, 21:11

I'm getting a lot of instability with 404 messages and eggtimers and I'm intermittantly unable to access the database tab . Occasionally I get the prompt 'job failed background worker busy' and can only get a response by clicking the runeaudio button . Have tried both file formats and receive the message 'username specified with no parameter' which I'm unable to resolve . No issues when using raspyfi . Any ideas what is causing this ? Thanks

Re: Unable to mount NAS

Have started afresh and no longer have the 404 issues etc but still unable to mount the nas , I think the SD card was faulty out of the box . Database config is set for NFS , checked and double checked the path is correct compared to the screenshot of the same page in raspyfi yet still have the dreaded red 'x' . Have updated MPD database , rebooted and also tried a power reset . Issue remains . Help

cheers

Hi Nic,
please follow this guide http://www.runeaudio.com/forum/how-to-collect-debug-informations-t14.html, collect you debug informations and post them here.
Also try to re-enter in the mount point details (simply by right-clicking on the mount-point) and take a look at the page top, you should find a box with some other debug informations about the mount error, post them here.
Thanks.

Orion.

Thank you , I've got high hopes for this , really enjoying raspyfi and ended up building a new pair of amps especially for it :) When I edit the mount point I get the following : ' Last system mount error mount.nfs: access denied by server while mounting 192.168.1.5:/public' . This exactly as I had it entered in raspyfi , I have also changed the 'p' in 'public' to upper case and still get the same error
In debug mode , see results below

Some slight progress , by chance I removed the source name and now I have a green tick :) Trouble is that after updating MPD and rebooting , I'm unable to view any NAS files

cheers

Did you wait the DB update to get completed before rebooting? You should see a "refresh" spinning icon on the Database tab until it's working. If you reboot in the meanwhile all the progress will be lost.

After updating the database last night , still the same status this morning . On Raspyfi the spinning icon is there when the database is updated , on Runeaudio I get no spinning icon , only a box at the top right hand side to say the update has begun .

cheers

Sorry, your debug stamp is incomplete.
Please, copy all the output (scroll down all the page) and insert it between "code" tags (use Code button in the message input form).
Thanks.

Let me understand: did you mount your NAS successfully last night? Did your DB populate?
If so, how did you power off your Raspberry Pi? Did you use the Poweroff command from the main menu or did you simply cut off power?
