The sound keeps turning off

Postby Claus » 17 Nov 2016, 10:14

Hello, so I'm using a Raspberry Pi 3, and I'm trying to use the WebRadio feature. But everytime it finds a raido and starts playing the speakers turn off after 2 min +- and I really don't know why?

Can anyone tell me why this is happening?

Hi Claus,

to be able to help we need more info.

- audio output (analog, I2S DAC or USB DAC)?
- wifi or ethernet connection?
- is the UI accessible after audio stops?
- are you able to restart the stream?

audio output = I believe it's analog
- It's a wifi connection
- is the UI accessible after audio stop = Yes it is acessible after the music stops
- are you able to restart the stream = I can make the music play again by turning up and down the music in the UI, that makes the speakers activate again.

Hi Claus,

I can make the music play again by turning up and down the music in the UI

What do you mean with "turning up and down"?

It is hard to help without a detailed description of your problem:
- can you play files from usb storage?
- are your speakers powered from usb?
- ....

By turning up and down, I meant the volume, you know on the Runeaudio UI there's the wheel of volume I can control. So lets say it's on 70% volume and I turn it down to 50% and back to 70% it starts the speakers again.

I haven't tested with files from USB storage but I have tried with Spotify where it worked sorta okay.

And no my speakers are not powered from usb.
