Hi f1251218,

Can I edit which sections of the instruction

From the HiFiBerry website:
Configure device tree overlay file

You don’t have to edit /etc/modules anymore, but need to load the correct device tree file. To do this, you must edit /boot/config.txt and add the following line
DAC
    dtoverlay=hifiberry-dac
DAC+
    dtoverlay=hifiberry-dacplus
Digi/Digi+
    dtoverlay=hifiberry-digi
Amp/Amp+
    dtoverlay=hifiberry-amp

Hi Da Alchemist ,

Normally it should be easy , i know. But for some reason i do not unserstand, there was an error on the boot partition. After doing fsck everything is up and running. Perhaps it is the card.

No problem, but for other users this sounds like there is a general problem with the image.

For your mpd problem (adding --enable-pipe-output) i made a package for you.
You can it install with:
Code: Select all
pacman -U mpd-rune-0.19.6-1-pipe-output-armv7h.pkg.tar.xz

The latest version on the image is 0.19.9, but this should be not a problem.

Thanks for MPD, installing was quite easy, mpd -V shows now pipe Output. But I stuck again, "pacman -S brutefir" shows, that brutefir is not available.....(These are the packages that are needed to compile Brutefir under Debain " build-essential flex libasound2-dev libjack2-dev libfftw3-dev") I think after 10 years "apt-get install" i have to go something deeper into Arch. :mrgreen:

I'm very interested in what you are doing, so i made a brutefir package for you.

Code: Select all
pacman -U brutefir-1.0m-1-armv7h.pkg.tar.xz

Please open a thread in the DIY section and post your results.

Hi Frank,
I installed the new image, but now I have troubles to install drivers for my wifi dongle - TP-LINK TL-WN725N v2
Code: Select all
pacman -S dkms-8188eu

doesn't work as it's already in the system:
Code: Select all
error: failed to commit transaction (conflicting files)
dkms-8188eu: /lib exists in filesystem
Errors occurred, no packages were upgraded.

But network UI menu keeps scanning and can't find any networks.

Hi unameme,

/lib is now deprecated in arch linux.
I've made a symbolic link to /usr/lib on the current image,
but this seems to work not in all purposes.

The install path has to be changed, see here.

Best would be to buy a wifi dongle that is supported by arch linux.
For example a cheap EDIMAX.

Thanks, Frank.
For now I will try to install it as in the link, but to end my constant troubles I think an Edimax is the best option.

To be sure, Edimax EW-7811Un N150 NANO is the supported one?
