Solved suptronics x400 and i2c lcd.

Postby sysco » 06 Mar 2017, 10:39

Hello I have a Suptronics X400, and work very well, but when I connect an i2c lcd does not output music.
raspberry 3 and the last runeaudio 0.4, the lcd works well alone with the raspberry and the output of headphones, and the x400 without lcd also.

Are incompatible?

Thank you

I would suspect a GPIO pin conflict. As the power to the X400 also powers the Pi it will need to use some GPIO pins.

What pins do you use for your LCD? I assume pins 3 & 5 (GPIO2 & 3) for the SDA and SCL, but what about 5v and ground?

Researching a bit more, found the image below. I assume that you have the DIP switch set to enable GPIO 2 & 3?

The dips in default all is on, If I put them off (GPIO 3 and 2), there's no music coming out.

I do not think it's a 5v and GND problem.
My i2c lcd adress is 0x3f , I do not think it's an address conflict.

I have no idea it can be wrong.

If GPIO 2 & 3 are enabled, then I can only think it's a 5v or gnd problem - what pins are you using?

I tried pin number 4 for 5v and 6 for GND, I also tried the ones on the s400 board, upper right corner, and there is no difference.

The power come with a psu of latop (19V) and I have also tested with 12v batteries.
The lcd work well alone, the x400 work well alone, together no sound,
I've looked at all the output settings and there is no sound, the lcd works.

And sound come out!!! but LCD It stays empty

They do not like to be together, I will continue to try things.
