Spotify does not work.

Hi guys,

it worked before, suddendly is mute.
Music from SSD it's ok only Spotify dont work, look library and it seems playing but... silence
After many tests with Raspberry PI 3 ask if you have same problems ?

Hi flovato,

please try this:
- switch to spotify
- select and play a song
- go to MENU->MPD and select a different audio output
- change the output back to the old one.

Hi,

I also cannot get Spotify to work.
I just opened Spotify in the library where I chose "Spotify" form the list. I then get an endless spinning wheel saying something about "launching backend...." which never stops.
I went to settings and activate Spotify, added my username and password, but that didn't change anything.
I then noticed that my username was incorrectly spelled, so I want to change it. But now, whatever setting I try to change and hit "apply", the settings are not saved. Even after a reboot, any change in settings is disregarded and reverts back to old settings.

How can I solve this, please?

On the playback screen click on Spotify and change the player back to MPD.
I tested Spotify on my Rasptouch and it works like it should.

Do you use the touch screen or are you connected with a remote browser?

Hi,
I wanted to add that it seems that I cannot change any setting anymore, neither in the settings menu nor in the MPD menu. Nor can I change volume, set to hardware. Rebooting doesn't help.

Yes, I have a premium account. And, I can't change back to mpd because I can't change anything. Launching Spotify just brings up an endless turning gear with message about starting backend and nothing happens. Since then it seems I can no longer change any settings in any menu.

As reported in the Bug section I can't get Spotify to work either. I have a Premium account, can select a playlist from it which then shows in the queue but nothing will play.

Just to be clear... I was never able to witch to spotify. So switching back from playback screen is not possible, it is already on MPD.
Music plays fine fom nas. But I cannot change volume or any settings.

Have you tried this

Hi Frank,

As noted I can see the list of songs but nothing will play. I've tried switching back to MPD and then back to Spotify again but it makes no difference.

I'm using a new, unmodified, untweaked version of the the latest build.
