Sorting of names in Library

Postby krzy » 29 Jun 2017, 11:24

Usually Runeaudio songs order appears to be logical in some way or just alphabetical. But when I have many files from different artists in one folder (like 80's, chillout, etc) can't determine any order - not by artists, titles, albums or filenames.
Is there any way of choosing sorting? Or any other way to determine order of files.

Hi krzy,

can't determine any order - not by artists, titles, albums or filenames.

There is no ordering (sorting) done by RuneAudio.

Is there any way of choosing sorting?

No, it isn't. The order is like mpd (the used music player) reports it.
You can test this with:
Code: Select all
mpc ls "path to your files as shown on the library tab"

for example:
Code: Select all
 mpc ls "NAS/Musik/Audiophile Stream Network"

Thanks for help :)

I've tried (path as appears on bottom screen in the Library):
Code: Select all
mpc list "NAS/Muzyka/_80s"

but result is:
Code: Select all
[root@runeaudio ~]# "NAS/Muzyka/_80s" is not a valid search type: <any|Artist|Album|AlbumArtist|Title|Track|Name|Genre|Date|Composer|Performer|Comment|Disc|MUSICBRAINZ_ARTISTID|MUSICBRAINZ_ALBUMID|MUSICBRAINZ_ALBUMARTISTID|MUSICBRAINZ_TRACKID|MUSICBRAINZ_RELEASETRACKID>

Hello,
My RuneAudio is sorting my files and folders in a stange way. I'm only using the "Network Mount" option.
Most of the folders are sorted alphabetical, but some not.
Image.
If I execute : mpc ls "NAS/Music" than everything is sorted fine. I've also deleted the mpd.db, and rebuild it, but with exactly the same result.

I'm using 0.4-beta_20170229 on a RPI 3b.
On the old RPI 1b with ver. 0.3beta it was sorted right.

Is there anything I can do, or is this currently (in this version) impossible to change?
Regards, Jeroen.

I've digged thru code and tested some sorting methods on PHP table with results from MPC, but any change I've made resulted in stopping of page rendering and unresponsive UI.
Since I've read that the team is working on completely new version I've dropped any more trying.

Just to Add, and in no way complaining, (Great Product Frank ;) ) My Mpd is acting weird lately.

RuneAudio 4 updated

RPI 3 IQAudio digi+

If I browse by: Browse your Library/ usb storage1/Music/ (All genres here) It lists Horror Punk before Alternative, and then the rest is correct Alphabetically. If I the select an album folder from the usb/Genre/ Artist folder the songs are all mixed up, until I add the folder to play, then it is correct.

Now the "Genres" button on the browse your library screen displays the correct order of genres, but again the songs are muddled up until you add to play. then they are correct.

My libraries are updated, all files are ape, and my tagging is impeccable (Tagscanner).

Its weird is all.

cheers peeps :)
