Hi rern,

Many thanks for the update! Most things look good, apart from a problem with the album-art hyperlinks - some zones no longer work at all and the actions of others don't seem to match the overlay:

  • Short taps on the top-left, bottom-left, centre and bottom-centre zones no longer do anything;
  • A long-press on all zones except the centre brings up the display control;
  • A short-tap on the top-right zone toggles the control-bars on and off;
  • A short-tap on the bottom-right zone toggles the Repeat... and Share... controls on and off.

I see from your posting that the top-centre zone short-tap is now used to toggle the overlay, which seems fine. Short-taps on the centre-left and centre-right zones still change tracks correctly.

I hope this isn't too difficult to fix! Thanks in advance,

Peace and friendship,
englishtim

Here is the current controls.
The previous overlay guide may still be in browser cache. It takes a while to show the new one or you can clear browser cache.

Hi rern,

Apologies, but I've found another potential issue - I should have tested the updates more thoroughly before I submitted my previous post...

Unfortunately the Play-button no longer works. It seems to be dead in every location on screen - the top bar, the centre zone of the album artwork, and the centre of the track timer-wheel. I've tried it both via PC browser (Chrome and Edge) and the Android app, all with the same results. I've tried flushing the browser cache, without success. The Play-button only works again if I uninstall RuneUI Enhancements and go back to the original UI. :cry:

As far as I can tell all the other buttons and album-art zones still work as expected or as shown in your screenshot.

Hope you can fix this one. Thanks in advance!

After applying the latest RuneUI Enhancements I too have lost all button control making RuneAudio on my Rasp3 (running standard Beta 4 RuneAudio) completely unusable either via the local browser or remotely. Please can this be fixed asap as I am, lost without this little audio wonder.

Thanks

Not just me experiencing this then - only control I have it via my Android phone and that's only partially working.

Shame as the enhanced UI is great......until now :oops:

Ready for update.

Most icons were improved.
Webradio cover art was replaced with animated VU meter.

After update:
- Browsers cache need to be cleared. (Clear History and Website Data or something like it depends on browsers)
- RuneAudio should need a reboot.

@englishtim, @ceejayemm, @LeighP - Please report the buttons issue after update.

Hi rern,

OK... the good news is that the buttons on the playback screen now seem to be OK. The bad news is that some other stuff seems to have broken.

Here's a list of the things I've found so far. For the record I've rebooted the RPi and flushed the browser-cache:

Everywhere:
  • The top-right menu now only shows "Playback" & gear-wheel. All other menu-items have disappeared;
  • The Gear-wheel is non-functional - it just disappears when you click on it;
  • There's now no access to any settings-pages or shutdown-menu. I'm currently relying on PuTTY and the Linux command-line to reboot or shutdown the RPi;

Playback screen:
All controls now seem to work correctly, except for menu;

Library screen:
  • The "Back" arrow only works for 1 level down - I get the spinning circle forever or just no response if I'm deeper down than 1 level;
  • The breadcrumb links work OK;
  • It fails when trying to select "Composers" - I see the spinning circle for ever, and it then refuses to select any of the other categories that had worked before. There seems to be some sort of long time-out (several minutes), after which selecting the other non-Composer categories works again;

Playlist screen:
All controls seem to work correctly, except for menu.

For the record I use Chrome as my preferred PC browser, but I see the same symptoms on Edge and in the RuneAudio App (on Android). The complete install sequence was as follows:

1. Flash "official" RPi3 build (RuneAudio_rpi2_rp3_0.4-beta_20160321_2GB.img.gz) to card, boot and setup;
2. Extend partition via command-line;
3. Install Add-Ons Menu;
4. Install MPD Update;
5. Install Chromium;
6. Install RuneUI Enhancements.

That's all for now. I'll post an update if I find anything else.

Peace and friendship,
englishtim

Hi Tim,

Please try:
- Flash RuneAudio
- Without any setup, install Addons Menu
- Menu > Development > PHP 5 OPcache = off
- Without any other addons, install RuneUI Enhancement
- Reboot
- Clear browser cache / data (history)

If still broken, try RuneAudio 0.4b 20170229 with the same as above.

Tim,

I think I've found a bug that caused the trouble.
Please try again.
