RuneAudio app on android tv box problem

Postby avvy65 » 19 Mar 2018, 13:52

I installed the RuneAudio app from google play onto my android 6.1 tv box. After the RuneAudio app loads up it starts a search for devices, and never finds any. My Raspberry Pi3 is hardwired to my router and so is the TV box by a long cat6 cable, and I don't know why the app cannot find the device.

I also have the app on my android tablet, and it can find the Pi3 device, which is still hardwired, from another room. So why not the tv box?

Any ideas or suggestions .

Update: I connected to the Pi3 or device with RuneAudio on by a web browser and typing the fixed ip address. That bought up web GUI ok, and now have to get a speaker rigged up

Hi avvy65,

sorry I cannot help with the app issue, but i have a few questions:

- what is your goal? Controlling your RuneAudio device from your TV?
-
and now have to get a speaker rigged up
where? On your Pi?
